Sleight Farm: A day on the farm with commercial property experts, JLL

JLL visits Biofarm at Sleight Farm

A day on the farm with JLLs planning team

On 13 October, we welcomed the Bristol based planning team at JLL - global leaders in real estate and investment management - at our Bath and North East Somerset BNG habitat site, Sleight Farm. For this fantastic bunch of city dwellers, stepping out in nature proved to be a breath of fresh air!

Beyond a beautiful setting for a day of team building (the British weather kept at bay), it was an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the business and the local nature recovery work they are enabling.

The team were able to experience, firsthand, the transformational ecological work being undertaken on the ground, and meet our beautiful herd of English Longhorns, Tamworth pigs and Exmoor ponies.

Creating a brighter way forward, with JLL

We were fortunate to partner with JLL on both advisory and sale of BNG units, allowing their client, Avon Fire Services, to meet their urgent BNG requirements.

Our tailor-made solutions, agility and expertise in BNG meant we were able to meet the high standards and specific needs of JLL and their client, helping them to commence construction without delay and providing certainty of nature’s recovery in our expert ecological hands.

Without the support of innovative and thought leading property experts like JLL - who are committed to sustainable development and protecting the environment for future generations - nature restoration at this scale simply would not be possible.

BNG habitat creation at Sleight Farm

Sleight Farm in the Mendip Hills is our flagship BNG habitat site and living proof that biodiversity and development can thrive together.

We are restoring and connecting grassland, woodland pasture, and wetland habitats across a 70 hectare holding, building a resilient landscape where biodiversity increases year on year. Tending the land over a 30 year period, we will create a dynamic mosaic of grassland, scrub, woodland and wetlands, where species grow and thrive - nourishing our English soils, improving our water quality, and helping purify our air.
