The opportunity

Making more room for nature in the Cotswolds

Highfold Farm sits near Painswick, in a Cotswold landscape of grassland, hedgerows and woodland.

The land is currently a mix of arable fields and grassland cut for hay. There are already interesting plants here too, including orchids, salad burnet and small scabious.

We’re exploring how 18.4 hectares could support a greater variety of wildlife, with richer grassland alongside scrub, trees and hedgerows. The exact mix will be confirmed as the plans develop.

If you’re planning a development in the area, Highfold Farm could provide a source of local off-site BNG. Talk to us about what you need.

A place with a long view

Part of the Cotswold landscape

Highfold Farm sits within a wider landscape of grassland, hedgerows and woodland. Nearby commons are known for their limestone grassland, wildflowers and orchids, while woodland and hedgerows provide important connections for wildlife.

Some of that character can already be seen at Highfold, where orchids, salad burnet and small scabious have been recorded. Our plans will look at how the land can build on what is already here, while fitting naturally into the wider landscape.

Care that continues

We’ll create and care for the habitats over the long term, checking how they develop and reporting on progress. You’ll work directly with us throughout, with a team you can turn to as your project moves forward.
