Cookridge is an early-stage Biofarm habitat bank near Leeds, within the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Yorkshire Coalfield National Character Area. We’re preparing the site to deliver measurable Biodiversity Net Gain, establishing species-rich grassland and other priority habitats through low-intensity, nature-first management.
Once registered, Cookridge will offer BNG units to developments across the region, secured and managed for at least 30 years. Register your interest now to be first in line as units become available.

Cookridge sits near Leeds, within the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Yorkshire Coalfield National Character Area. Its location and trading area are set now and won’t change once the bank is registered, so you can plan around it today. The solid area on the map is the local zone, the host LPA and National Character Area, where units apply at full value under the biodiversity gain spatial risk multiplier. The hatched area shows neighbouring LPAs and NCAs, where units remain eligible at an adjusted rate (0.75×). Beyond that, we deliver nationally.
